Beth Potter, M.D. is an Associate Professor in the UW Department of Family Medicine and Community Health (DFMCH). She has focused her career on providing healthcare to underserved communities, and has taught medical students, residents and practicing physicians throughout her career. As Vice-Chair of Clinical Operations in the UW DFMCH, she was involved in improving clinical delivery at the clinic and system level. She is currently the medical director of the UW Health Employee Health and Wellness. She helped to develop and serves on the faculty for the Institute for Zen Leadership’s HEAL program.
Dr. Potter has received several teaching awards including the Clinical Excellence Teaching Physician award from the UW School of Medicine, and the Public Health and the Faculty Excellence Award from the DFMCH. She has also been recognized for her work with the Latino Community in Dane County. She appears regularly on the local Spanish-language radio station, WLMV, to discuss medical issues with hosts and callers.
